Don't Argue with a Troll

I had a run-in with a rather unpleasant person today. Suffice it to say that they were a troll. I was thinking about it afterward, and I considered the fact that my trolls aren't exactly the same as most trolls in literature. Mine are fiery and stubborn, but not the ugly, dim-witted brutes that are seen in more popular Fantasy.

I ended up sketching this on my downtime today and kept giggling while I did. This picture was a nice opportunity to try and show the huge size difference between trolls and goblins. The goblins are one of the smallest races of Gaia, standing between three and four feet high. Trolls are the largest race at close to ten feet tall!

Side note: I do believe that goblins are becoming a favorite of mine for sketching. I love drawing their faces :)

So while I was inking this, I goofed a bit on the line for the mouth, then realized it actually looked pretty funny. I decided to screenshot it :)

I noticed the other day that I always have the Neth smiling, or at least with a cocky smirk of some kind. One of these days I'll draw one that's angry. No really, I will.

You should hear her OTHER songs....

Remember kids, always wear eye protection when dabbling with explosive science!

(And yes, I know full well that alkaline metals react to water. Just humor me)

Here's a drawing I finished yesterday, and I was so happy to have it done, too. This is supposed to be one of the deities from my books, specifically, the one indirectly responsible for giving wings to giant wolves. I had quite a bit of fun with his patterns and coloration, as I was trying to give him a very distinct, fantastical look (I almost did the brown points in a dark violet blue, but I sure seem to use blue in a lot of things, so I scrapped that idea)

Originally this was a pencil sketch, but I wanted to color it so I ended up inking him. Done in Micron pen and colored pencil, then touched up in Gimp to make it easier on the eyes.



Also for a bit of fun, here's a picture of a couple of jack-o-lanterns I carved last night, since Halloween is almost here.

Just a silly doodle I did today. I found myself sitting there, saying to myself, "Self - draw me a cool pink dragon!"

to which I said, "Okay!"
