This is one of the deities from my book series. She normally appears as a powdery blue phoenix who serves as the handmaiden to a more powerful goddess of healing and knowledge. I thought the element of the phoenix and it's rebirth cycle went well with the whole theme of healing ...... though I'm a little fond of the phoenix, anyway :)The quality of this one is a little patchy, since the sketchbook I drew it in does not sit on the scanner very well. I had to take a picture with my camera instead.
Done in micron pen and some colored pencil.
Pretty. I love how you do the feathers on the wings. Did you go over the lines with pencil or is your pen blue?
